Supporting and aiding the General Manager in achieving the profitability of the hotel and operational success<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Minimum Experience and Qualification Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Post matric hotel school qualification would be advantageous.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum 5 years\u2019 experience in a five-star property<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Computer literacy \u2013 MICROS, Opera Cloud<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good numeracy skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High level of English proficiency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic, a team player, with a positive attitude.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be able to work shifts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Own transport preferable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Performance Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist the General Manager in his\/her day-to-day operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the smooth running of the hotel operation in the absence of the General Manager<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct and compile Daily, Weekly, Monthly reports for the General Manager<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be proactive in anticipating guest needs and possible concerns of on the property<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor the performance of each department, report on any problem areas, and make recommendations to improve profitability for hotel operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven leadership abilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provides training, coaching, and mentoring to all staff and HOD&#8217;s.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receives and resolves or assists the General Manager in resolving guest complaints and service recovery process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Selects or assists in the selection of hotel staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review employee performance and conduct personnel actions such as disciplinary actions and terminations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adheres to company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure full compliance with hotel operating controls, SOP\u2019s, policies, procedures, and service standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensures effective, timely and accurate communications flow with regards to hotel policies and procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All Other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER \u2013 HERMANUS \u2013 R45000 to R50000, Live-out To effectively manage the day-to-day operations and employees as well as ensure guest satisfaction.
